Details

Built around 1700 in local limestone originally to accommodate pony and trap with workers accommodation above. It has now been converted to a charming holiday cottage with sitting room, kitchen/dining room, 2 bedrooms and bathroom, with central heating throughout.

The light and airy sitting room has comfy sofas, natural stone wall and wood burning stove. It holds a good sized colour television, hi-fi with CD and cassette player, and DVD player.  During 2009 we've upgraded the TV to a flat screen and now provide Freesat-HD for your enjoyment.  A selection board games and books are available for your use. Also maps and local guides are supplied to help you get the most from your stay.

The attractive fully fitted kitchen/dining room is spacious with beech block worktops and decorative tile feature panel above an electric cooker. It also has a washing machine, microwave and refrigerator. The dining area has simple light wood dining table and chairs and views over the garden.

Upstairs there is a good size bedroom with double bed with window overlooking our traditional hay meadow. There there is also cosy second bedroom with single bed. Both the bedrooms are simply furnished with pine furniture and are fully carpeted. All bed linens are supplied with each bed having duvets.

Also upstairs is a fully tiled bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Towels ( one hand, one bath per person ) are supplied.

Outside in the garden there are table, chairs and a barbeque for alfresco dining and relaxation on warm summer evenings.

For your convenience, and that of others no smoking is permitted in the cottage.

There is ample off-road car parking immediately outside the cottage.
